1st NC Tacial Division concentrates on military professionalism and excellence through the study of four essential military studies for the milsim oriented team:
I. Hand Signals – Rally, Form up, etc.
II. Radio Procedures – Transmitting, End Transmission, etc.
III. Field Tactics – Ambushes (I and II), Base Assault, etc.
IV. Basic First Aid
Each of the military studies outlined above will be field tested to assure each member of 1st NC is a professional of the highest standard in our airsoft community. Every year the military sudies will be reviewed for any modifications or additions.
Leadership of 1st NC is comprised of a Command Group consisting of a Commanding Officer, an Executive Officer, and four Lieutenants. The responsibility of each position is outlined below.
Commanding Officer
The commanding officer (CO) is in charge of the team. He has ultimate responsibility over the team, and runs it as he sees fit, within the boundaries of the team guidelines. The commanding officer has significant responsibilities (i.e. attending TL meetings, making decisions that benefit the team, site maintenance, etc.), duties (leading the team during events, recruitment, etc.), and powers (i.e. disciplinary action).
Executive Officer
The commanding officer is assisted by the executive officer (XO). The XO reports to the CO. The XO attends TL meetings in the absence of the CO. He also commands the team when the CO is unable to attend events. The XO initiates participation of games by contacting team members through e-mail and the team forums. He settles disputes within the team and advises the CO of disciplinary actions.
Lieutenant
Lieutenants (LT) are appointed by the CO and XO. They oversee the leadership qualifications for all team members. LT's are the fire team leaders on the field and assume command of the team in the absence of the Co or XO. LT’s are the initial contact for disputes within the team and advise the XO of disciplinary actions.
Election Process
The CO and XO are elected by team members once per year. Team members interested in command positions put their name in the “hat” and the remaining members vote for the candidates. Separate votes are held for the CO and XO. Once elected, the CO and XO appoint the LT’s. Elections are held in December with the new CO and XO assuming command on January 1st.
Members seeking candidacy for command positions must be qualified in all areas of the Leadership Training outlined on the 1stNC site.
The Command Group is responsible for the actions of the team members. The actions of the team members on the field may result in probation, suspension from games, denied use of certain AEG classifications, or expulsion from the team.
Any member of the Command Group that fails in his duties may be impeached. A 2/3 vote by the team members will remove the leader from position. In the event a member of the Command Group is removed, the position will be filled from the lower position. Ex., the CO is removed. The XO will fill the vacancy and appoint an LT to the XO slot.
